Fabric swatch from Amelia Earhart's plane, the Lockheed Vega 5B, used by Earhart to make her groundbreaking solo transatlantic flight on 20-21 May 1932, the first woman to accomplish the feat. The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum acquired Earhart's Vega 5B in 1966 and then restored the plane in the 1970s, selling some of the original fabric swatches in this format, affixed to presentations on flexible card stock. Red swatch measures .25'' square and poster measures 11'' x 17'', in near fine condition.
