Broadside announcing the end of the War of 1812. Headline reads, ''Treaty of Peace Signed and Arrived'' and the text elaborates, ''...Great and Happy News for the Public...a Treaty of Peace between this country and Great Britain, signed on the 26th December last...This city is in a perfect uproar of joy, shouts, illumination...'' Measures 8.5'' x 14''. Exceedingly fragile document shows toning, brittleness and archival tape repair to separations along the sides at about 1.25'' inch intervals. In good condition, especially for a broadside of this age, which was intended for public display. Broadside is in whole condition with no missing text.
