Eugene O'Neill signed limited edition of ''Lazarus Laughed''. Published by Boni & Liveright: New York: 1927, this is number 549 of 775 numbered copies of the play, of which 750 were for sale. Its limitation page is signed, ''Eugene O'Neill'' in black ink. This play is one of O'Neill's philosophies on religious thought, akin to a mystery play, taking place in a Biblical setting. Its only high-profile production was performed at the Pasadena Community Playhouse in 1928 and starred Irving Pichel. Play runs 179pp., with its deckled edges bound in multicolor paper boards. Measures 6.25'' x 9.25''. Sunning to backstrip, paper loss to corners and a tiny bookseller's sticker to rear pastedown, else near fine.
