Emmy award for the children's show ''Reading Rainbow'' on PBS. Emmy was presented at the 1998 Daytime Emmy Awards, won by Judy Karp for Sound Mixing. Emmy features the iconic winged woman holding an atom stands on the convex, grid-lined surface of a round gold-plated base. Flat perimeter of base reads: ''THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES''. Plaque is engraved with 5 lines naming the award, its category and recipient: ''1997-1998 DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS / Outstanding Achievement in Live and Direct to Tape Sound Mixing / 'Reading Rainbow' / PBS / Judy Karp, Production Mixer''. Measures 15.25'' in total height with 7.5'' diameter base, and weighs 4 lbs., 9 oz. Dimensions are the same as Emmys presented in the standard Creative Arts category. Some tarnishing to metal, otherwise very good condition with no structural defects as often found with Emmys.
