First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt typed letter signed on 25 May 1950, written on her personal letterhead of ''Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt'', from The Park Sheraton Hotel in New York City. Roosevelt writes to a Mrs. Garrigue, the operator of a nursery in nearby Poughkeepsie: ''Dear Mrs. Garrigue: I am delighted that everything went so well over the weekend. You all did a wonderful job and I am sorry I could not be there to help. Very sincerely yours, [signed] Eleanor Roosevelt''. Measures 6'' x 8.25''. Intersecting folds, near fine.
