Quintessential ''Peanuts'' comic strip hand-drawn by Charles Schulz and published 16 August 1957. In this early strip, Schulz expertly reveals the character traits of three main characters in 4 short panels, as well as conveys the central ''Peanuts'' theme of family and friendship. Here, Lucy explains to the passive Charlie Brown the values of the Van Pelt family, while simultaneously bossing her younger brother Linus to get rid of his beloved blanket. United Feature Syndicate label appears on the first panel, although the year has been removed. Strip measures 29'' x 7''. In well-preserved, very good plus condition.
