''Douglas Fairbanks'' signed checks and bank correspondence from 1936, the year he and Mary Pickford divorced. Each of the ten checks from Guaranty Trust Company of New York is made out for varying amounts of pounds and measures 8.25'' x 3.25''. Standard stamping and endorsing. Bank correspondence includes a typed letter from United Artists' chief accountant to American Express measuring 8'' x 10'', and another from American Express to Fairbanks measuring 8'' x 10.5''. A receipt from the Guaranty Trust Co. is included in the lot and measures 5.25'' x 6.5''. A few of the checks have smudged signatures, others have exceptionally bold signatures; entire lot is in very good condition.
