David Juniper signed ''Led Zeppelin II'' album cover, the album art that earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package. Juniper handwrites within the Zeppelin on the album cover, ''The music of Led Zeppelin I had blown me away and so on spec, I mocked up a fold-out design for the second album and took it to Led Zeppelin's manager. / David Juniper, designer of the cover art for Led Zeppelin II''. Juniper's clever design repurposed an actual photograph of a WWI German fighting squadron, replacing the faces of the soldiers with those of the band members, and also an actress from a 1969 anti-war satirical film. The orange-pink words of ''Led Zeppelin'' rise up out of the smoke at top. Album measures 12.5'' square. Minor edge wear, else near fine. With an LOA from David Juniper.
