Dachau concentration camp letter, written by a prisoner of the camp on 3 November 1940. Three page letter in German is written by a young 19 year old, who lists his date of birth as 12 April 1922. Letter is addressed to a relative in ''Bohmen'', the part of Czechoslovakia that was annexed by the Germans in 1938 as part of the Munich Agreement. Both the letter and envelope are on Dachau stationery, listing the rules of the camp, such as ''Petition for release to the guards is useless'' and ''Visitation and telephone rights are not allowed''. Letter bears censor stamp for the camp on last page, and envelope shows postmark from the camp. Letter measures 5.75'' x 8.5'' and envelope measures 6.25'' x 4.5''. Separation starting to folds and some discoloration on last page, overall very good condition.
