Clarence Darrow autograph letter signed regarding Prohibition. Upon his personal stationery, Darrow writes on 3 December (no year, but likely 1930) to Dr. Forrest R. Black, a law professor and colleague of Darrow's who published ''Ill-starred Prohibition Cases: A Study in Judicial Pathology''. Darrow writes, ''My Dear Black / Think you had better send a book to Dr. Henry Elmer Barnes E.W. Scripps-Howard 230 Park Av. Mr. Barnes [does] a good many book reviews for the Syndicate and I am sure he would like yours. If you will have two or three sent to me it will be enough.'' Darrow signs the letter, ''Good luck to you / Clarence Darrow.'' Single page measures 7.25'' x 10.25''. Some toning and foxing with paperclip imprint at upper left. Very good condition.
