Clara Barton typed letter signed on ''The American National Red Cross'' stationery. Dated 24 December 1895, Barton wishes a Merry Christmas to the ''treasured hearts of Happy Thought Cottage''. Signed ''Clara Barton'' in pencil. Letter measures 8.25'' x 10.75''. Partially glued to card stock, along with original Red Cross envelope. Good condition. Accompanied by binder measuring 12.5'' x 14.5'' embossed in gilt on cover, ''Letters of Clara Barton''.
