Civil War magic lantern slide, picturing the Gettysburg monument dedicated to the 27th Connecticut Infantry, located in the Wheatfield where its regimental commander, Lt. Col. Henry C. Merwin was killed. From the collection of the McIntosh Stereopticon Co. of Chicago, glass slide measures 4'' x 3.25'', cased in period metal. Near fine condition.
