First Day Cover signed by three crew members from the tragic STS-51-L Challenger Space Shuttle mission, which ended in disaster as the shuttle exploded shortly after takeoff. Cover features the signatures of ''Ronald E. McNair'', ''Greg Jarvis'' and ''S. Christa McAuliffe''. Postmarked from Kennedy Space Center on 28 January 1986, the day of the launch. Measures 6.5''x 3.75''. Stamp on front and three stamps on verso by a ''Gunter Walter'', perhaps a previous owner, otherwise near fine.
