EC Comics artist Bernard Krigstein set of two illustrations from 1954, rendered in ink wash, for the cover of ''How to Play Baseball'' by M.G. Bonner, published by Knopf in 1955. Artwork was produced during Krigstein's time at EC Comics when he was producing ''the most acclaimed stories of his career between 1953 and 1955'', according to Jean-Paul Gabilliet in ''Of Comics and Men''. First illustration of batter measures approximately 3.75'' x 5'', and second of catcher and runner measures approximately 7.5'' x 3.25'', both on board measuring 12.75'' x 15'', with blue overlay hinged at top. A bit of wear to board, illustrations are near fine.
