Drink coaster signed by the Apollo 1 astronauts, who lost their lives in the tragic fire less than a year after this piece was signed. Coaster from the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas is signed by the three astronauts, ''Gus Grissom'', ''Ed White'' and ''Roger B. Chaffee'', along with Apollo 9 astronaut ''Rusty Schweickart'' who was with the three that night at a Dean Martin show in April, 1966. Coaster measures 7.5'' x 4'', with fold down the middle as printed. Mild creasing, overall in very good condition with bold signatures. Note on verso identifies the time and place that the autographs were obtained, and accompanying note indicates that the men were seated next to the person who obtained the signatures at the show.
