Andrew Mellon's signature as Secretary of the Treasury. The American industrialist's autograph inscription reads: ''Autograph for Lyle T. Hammond / Waltham, Mass. / A.W. Mellon / Washington Dec. 6 1928''. Mellon served a lengthy term as Treasury Secretary from 1921 until 1932; he lowered the national debt from WWI while cutting taxes before the onset of the Great Depression. Measures 6.75'' x 3.75''. Near fine.
