Datelined New York, 9 July 1863, document certifies that ''Alex Holland...is entitled to Six (6) Shares in the American Express Company...'' Countersigned by Alex Holland. Single-page printed document measures 12'' x 8.25''. Cancellation inscription is smudged and runs through the signatures of Fargo and Holland. Very light dampstaining throughout. Very good condition.
