Former Nazi and Hitler favorite, Albert Speer typed letter signed, dated 2 July 1975, nine years after serving his sentence for war crimes. He writes in German to an American acquaintance, Elaine Lincoln, ''...I enjoyed reading your letter yet at the same time I was sad to hear about the death of your brother. I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart. I hope you don't get discouraged by the briefness of my letter, but write again in due time and tell me how you are. Yours [signed] Albert Speer''. Folded document on ''Albert Speer / Heidelberg'' stationery measures 6'' x 8.25'', in near fine condition. Envelope and full translation included.
